My Blue

Acrylic Paint, Oil Pastel, Sharpie on Painting Paper. I wanted to try and focus on an abstract concept and try to "let go" a bit with the process. I experimented with water and acrylic paint and paper ripping to add texture. This painting consists of a bunch of layering. The drawing on top is of my dog, Blue Boy, when he just came home from surgery on his paw and mouth, asleep next to me on the couch while I was working on homework. My inspiration for this abstract painting was the worry of how Blue Boy was doing during surgery and if he was going to be okay.
